Senior Lecturer in Creative & Professional Writing, University of the West of England, Bristol
Deadline: Sun 1 Nov 2020
The newly-created School of Creative and Cultural Industries brings together colleagues working in humanities, cultural studies and creative practice covering subject areas including English Literature, Linguistics, History, Filmmaking, Drama and Photography.

You will join a collegial and nurturing environment; this role is based in the Linguistics & Writing cluster which combines the creative excellence of active writers teaching the Creative & Professional Writing programme and the expertise and research of colleagues working out of the Bristol Centre for Linguistics.

The ideal candidate will be able to deliver outstanding teaching in both face-to-face and online settings. You will draw on your own professional practice and research to deliver sessions covering a range of sub-disciplines of creative and professional writing in an authentic and engaging manner.

An ability to teach scriptwriting for live performance and fiction – both based on professional experience – would be a distinct advantage, as would professional knowledge of theatre production and/or publishing.
