The University of Suffolk is looking for an outstanding scholar to join the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and help drive our vision for being a leading centre for teaching and research excellence in the Humanities. This exciting opportunity is offered as a Lecturer role, on a full-time permanent basis.
This post offers an exciting opportunity for an established writer to develop the University’s expanding BA, MA and PhD provision in English and Creative Writing.
You should have a publishing record in prose fiction or creative non-fiction and preferably an interest/knowledge of publishing and be able to contribute to the teaching of English literature and creative writing, to supervise BA and MA students and be part of supervisory teams for Creative Writing PhDs.
You will have a growing or established national/international profile that will make a significant contribution to our next REF submission, as well as an active and entrepreneurial approach to inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary research and an enthusiasm for delivering high quality, innovative UG and PGT programmes.
We particularly welcome applications from black and ethnic minority candidates and from candidates with a disability who are currently under-represented within our workforce.
