Playwrights are invited to submit short extracts of works-in-progress to Stage to Page, a bi-monthly theatre event, for a one-hour workshop with actors and director followed by a script-in-hand reading - all facilitated by a different leading industry guest each time. Deadline for 27 March event is 6 March.

Stage to Page is a voluntary collective of writers, directors and actors who meet bi-monthly to conduct short public workshops and script-in-hand readings of scenes from three brand new plays. This is a great opportunity for writers to be actively involved in the workshop process, see their work on its feet for the first time and get invaluable feedback from directors, actors and audiences. Many pieces which started life at Stage to Page have gone on to full performances and audiences have the chance to see and hear them being worked on for the first time.
Stage to Page is led by a different industry guest each month, drawn from Scotland’s prominent writers, directors, stage, film and TV practitioners and is supported by Playwrights’ Studio Scotland and Acting Coach Scotland.
Submission details: Submit a max 10min (7-8 pages, 2 point font, double spacing) to stagetopage@gmail.com by Monday 6 March 2023, 5pm and include a title page, short synopsis and brief character descriptions, all on one document. Selection is made on an anonymous basis by our industry guest: please do not put your name anywhere on the script itself.
