Teaching Fellow in Creative Writing (Prose), The University of Edinburgh

Applications are invited for the post of Early Career Teaching Fellow in Creative Writing (Prose). Fixed term: 2 years contract (available from January 2026.

The successful candidate will contribute primarily to the teaching of our MSc in Creative Writing (fiction workshops and seminars) and Literature courses (‘e.g. Acts of Storytelling’), and the supervision of postgraduate dissertations. They will also contribute undergraduate creative writing (prose fiction) option courses and may supervise undergraduate dissertations as required. 

We particularly welcome applications from candidates with research expertise in one or more of the following areas identified as existing or emergent strengths within the English and Scottish Literature subject area: digital humanities; economic humanities; environmental humanities; health humanities; LGBTQ+ studies; postcolonial, transnational and/or diasporic literary studies.
