Teaching Fellow in Creative Writing, University College Dublin
Deadline: Tue 20 Mar 2018
Applications are invited for a temporary (two year, part-time) appointment as Teaching Fellow in Creative Writing in the School of English, Drama and Film, Film at University College, Dublin.
Applicants must be established and experienced writers with a strong record of publication and be able to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in this rapidly developing area in the School. The post is open with regard to genre, but we would be particularly interested in applicants who could contribute to prose or poetry and at least one other area. This might include memoir and life writing, creative non-fiction, travel writing and young adult fiction.

Experience of teaching and examining prose fiction at undergraduate and postgraduate level is required. The successful candidate will be expected to play a role in the development and delivery of the new undergraduate programme (from September 2018) in English and Creative Writing.

Creative Writing at UCD is characterised by its strong links with high profile individual writers and with arts organisations in Dublin, Ireland and beyond. The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to these links, and play a part in sustaining a programme that brought visiting writers to the campus for readings and to interact with students.
