Teaching Fellow in Screenwriting, Royal Holloway, University of London

The Department of Media Arts, Royal Holloway, University of London, wishes to recruit an industry professional with university-level teaching experience as a fixed-term 0.5 Teaching Fellow in Screenwriting, to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level working at both our Egham and central London campuses.

The post offers the opportunity to teach on screenwriting pathways across all year groups in our highly successful and internationally recognised undergraduate degree programmes in Media Arts and on our innovative residential Master’s degree in Film and Television Screenwriting. They may also be asked to supervise final-year independent projects and second-mark/moderate assessments on other practice/production modules.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience teaching screenwriting in higher education and as a working professional screenwriter with a track record of recent commissioned and/or produced screenwriting work.

The appointment will be made at Grade 7, with starting salary according to experience and qualifications.

The post will run from 1 September 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter, until 31 August 2022.
