The Alfred Fagon Award 2025

A writing competition open to any playwright of Caribbean or African descent, resident in the UK, for the best original, new stage play in English.
The winning writer will receive £6,000 and excerpts from their winning play will be showcased at the award ceremony.
The play does not need to have been produced. However, if it has, only plays produced since August 2024 will be considered.
New as well as established writers are encouraged to enter.
The Alfred Fagon Award is supported by The Peggy Ramsay Foundation.
