Entries are invited for this highly prestigious international creative writing competition. There are four categories: poetry, short story, flash fiction and the novel. Open to writers of any nationality writing in English aged 16 and over at the time of the closing date (different eligibility criteria for the novel prize).
Poetry
Enter original, unpublished poems up to 42 lines.
The prizes are £5,000, £1,000 and £500. Highly Commended 10 x £100. Winners will be published in an anthology and the top three will be entered into the Forward Prize for Poetry’s Best Single Poem competition.
The entry fee is £10 per poem.

Short story
Enter unpublished short stories up to 5,000 words. Entries can be on any subject in any style or form.
The prizes are £5,000, £1,000 and £500 plus publication in our anthology. Highly Commended 10 x £100. The winning and shortlisted entries are entered into the £30,000 Sunday Times Audible competition for a single short story.
The entry fee is £12 per story.

Flash fiction
Enter original, unpublished flash fiction up to 250 words.
The prizes are £1,000, £500 and £250 plus publication in our anthology. Highly Commended 3 x £100.

The Peggy Chapman-Andrews First Novel Award.
Enter novel extracts between 5,000 and 8,000 words and a 300-word synopsis. The Novel Award is now open to writers aged 16 and over living in Britain (including the Channel Islands and Isle Of Man) and Ireland (Northern Ireland and Republic Of Ireland) and British writers living overseas.
There is a first prize of £1,500, a runner up prize of £750 and three highly commended prizes of £150. Plus publication in our anthology. The winner will be offered mentoring by the Literary Consultancy and a consultation with A.M. Heath and Tinder Press.

The entry fee is £20 per novel.
