We are looking for talented and enthusiastic writers to enter our Halloween writing competition. All entries will be published on the Ether App – an internationally downloaded, ever growing collection of high quality short stories and articles published direct to an IOS device – and soon – Android too.

Who are we?

Ether is a mobile social reading platform. We publish high quality short content via a smartphone app. We have a large, friendly community of talented writers and we are developing our product so that not only can writers connect with each other, but readers can engage with the people behind the stories they love too! We want to make getting your writing out to the world fast and fun, and give you the ability to engage with the people who read it and fellow writers!

What do we want for this contest?

We are looking for new talent. For the contest, all entires will be published. We want stories of no more than 3000 words in length, which would be suitable for Halloween.

How does it work?

We will spend about 3 weeks collecting submissions. Then all the entries will be released onto the app at the same time. You then need to get active and onto Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. This is because the story with the most downloads will win! If you enter you will be part of an exclusive Facebook group where you can meet the other contestants and there will be tons of friendly support and advice for promoting your story.

How do I enter?

Via our special online submission process. If you are new to Ether it just takes a few moments to sign up and you can input your entry directly on our quick editor. Existing Ether writers, please submit yours in the normal way and make sure you choose the Halloween genre from the drop down list! What is the prize?

You could win an iPad, Nexus 7 or £250 cash.

When is the deadline?

We will close for submissions on 23rd October. The entries will be published the next day, and the winner will be announced on Halloween.
