The Jerwood Fellowships will be awarded to three early career published writers of fiction, narrative non-fiction or poetry, currently living anywhere in the North of England.
Awardees will receive £10,000 cash, mentoring, and a year-long package of support
With a focus on artistic excellence, the fellowships support writers at a pivotal point in their careers, as they develop new work towards publication.
The award is open to submissions of work written in World English by writers of any nationality or descent who at the time of entering are permanently resident in the North of England. Applicants must currently live full-time in the North of England.
To be considered, work does not have to be of a ‘northern’ flavour or have a ‘northern’ theme.
