The Literary Consultancy (TLC) Editing Skills Training Scheme: Open for applications
Deadline: Wed 4 Dec 2019
The Literary Consultancy (TLC) has announced a new scheme in association with the Publishing Training Centre (PTC). This scheme is open to anyone based in England who is interested in developing their editorial skills in order to work in publishing, either in-house or as a freelancer.

The Editing Skills Training Scheme welcomes applications from those interested in working in publishing, already working in junior publishing roles but keen to access skills training, or interested in any other aspect of editorial work. Applications from low-income and otherwise marginalised aspiring editors are particularly encouraged and will be prioritised.

Applicants must be over 18 to apply. There is no entry fee and workshops are free to attend.

The Editing Skills Training Scheme will see up to 36 aspiring editors trained up over a series of workshops and events, and has been set up to encourage aspiring editors from all backgrounds to build key skills and confidence within publishing industry work settings, whether in-house or freelance.
