The Thresholds Short Story Forum - Feature Writing Competition
Deadline: Wed 29 Feb 2012
The only international online forum dedicated solely to explorations of the short story form

THRESHOLDS is the only online forum dedicated to the reading, writing and study of the short story form.  We have an international membership of writers, academics and scholars, and publish essays on a wide range of literary topics. For our first ever competition, we invite submissions of essays of up to 2,000 words for two categories of THRESHOLDS Features: Author Profiles – exploring the life, work and influence of a single short story writer; and We Recommend – personal recommendations of a single author, collection or short story. One overall prize of £250 will be awarded to the winning essay. The winning essay and shortlist will be published on the THRESHOLDS Forum during 2012.

Further information about the two categories and competition rules can be found on the THRESHOLDS website
