Thousand Films - TV Script competition for women
Deadline: Tue 30 Apr 2019
Thousand Films and Sid Gentle Films are looking for the best undiscovered television writers in the UK and Ireland. The focus of the first year's competition is to find female writers for television. If you have a script for a first episode of a drama or comedy and you don’t have agency representation, then submit your script for free.

Every script submitted will be read by a qualified script developer. Shortlisted scripts will be judged by a panel of TV industry experts.

Thousand Films will offer to option selected scripts and the offer will incorporate a prize package including:

The chance to work with Killing Eve producer Sid Gentle Films on a writer’s original ideas or other Sid Gentle projects.
An intensive TV industry ‘boot-camp’ hosted by the National Film and Television School.
An all-expenses paid trip to the Edinburgh TV Festival including accommodation and full delegate passes.
A tailored development process to take scripts through a new draft and give writers experience of working with a producer.

Thousand Films' mission is to find new writers who can take their projects into development and kick-start writing careers.

Find full details and enter your script on the Thousand Films website

Deadline: 30 April 2019
