Treasurer, Writing Our Legacy

This is a voluntary mostly remote position focused on overseeing the organisation's financial affairs. You'll work closely with the CEO and Board to safeguard our financial health and support our mission to amplify diverse voices in the arts.

Writing Our Legacy CIC is an arts and heritage organisation that enables Black, Asian and ethnically diverse/BPOC* people to tell their stories through writing and the creative arts. We were established in 2012 and are an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation 2023-26.

We welcome applications from everyone. However, we are committed to building a Board that reflects the communities we work with. We actively encourage applications from people with lived experience and from Black, Asian, and ethnically diverse people/BPOC.

Knowledge and experience of current and fundraising finance practice relevant to voluntary and community organisations.
Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial management (as necessary).
Good financial analysis skills.
Ability to communicate clearly
Desirable: background in Finance or HR and experience with Arts Council funding or similar grant programmes
