Wildchild Festival Art Commission, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust
Deadline: Thu 23 Apr 2020
Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is Staffordshire’s local wildlife charity that has been working to protect the wildlife and wild places in Staffordshire for over 50 years. We are holding our second Wildchild Festival in August 2020 and alongside the festival we would like to commission an artist (all art forms including writers) to work with local young people to create artwork inspired by local wildlife which will be revealed at the event.

We are looking for creative approaches to working with young people during the Coronavirus lockdown. We see this as an opportunity to reach out to people in a different way and offer a positive focus.

The Wildchild Festival will be a one-day celebration of art and nature in the inspirational backdrop of the Staffordshire countryside. We are inviting families of all ages to come to our nature reserve and visitor centre to experience arts and nature combined with a myriad of nature based activities, immersive theatre, storytelling and site specific artwork.

Fee: £3000 to include artist fees, travel and accommodation inclusive of VAT.

Budget: up to £1000
