Wildfire/Frosted Fire Single Poem Competition 2026

Our 7th annual single poem competition invites entries from poets worldwide on the theme of 'Free Speech or Fake News'. Poems can be in any style, form or genre.
You can interpret the theme as widely or wildly as you like in poetry of opinion, narrative (including what-if?), satire, metaphor.
First Prize AUDIO: £300
First Prize TEXT: £300
Four runner up prizes of £25
Highly Commended poets (shortlist) & Commended poets (longlist) will all be invited to join the prize winners for publication in Free Speech vs Fake News Anthology.
The anthology will be published online as text and audio in December.
Entry fee: £5 per poem or £20 for 5
