Writer Development Manager (Maternity Cover), Writing East Midlands

Writing East Midlands, the literature development agency for the region, is hiring a Writer Development Manager. This key role involves working to develop the creative and professional practices of writers at various stages of their careers, creating opportunities for them to engage with new audiences and communities, and managing related projects.
The post holder will be an excellent organiser with strong experience of running projects and events and working with different partners. Equally important will be experience of fund-raising an evaluating activity against funding requirements.
Writing East Midlands has a strong team ethic and so the post holder will be expected to be responsible for an agreed programme of work while contributing to the organisation’s broader activities.
This post will provide maternity cover on a fixed contract, 4 days per week, basis from mid Sept. 2020 to May 2021.
The post will be based at the Writing East Midlands office in Nottingham but may involve working from home due to current restrictions. Salary 25k pro rata.
