Writers/Illustrators/Spoken Word Artists wanted for Light Bulb Books event, Broken Light Bulb CIC
Deadline: Fri 18 Jan 2019
Light Bulb Books will be an imaginative, friendly and accessible one day children’s reading and literature focused event held in Lichfield, Staffordshire during March 2019. We want this event to inspire and stimulate children’s imaginations and creativity by bringing words and stories alive through interactive and participatory activities.

To complete our programme, we are seeking authors, illustrators and spoken word artists who can deliver inclusive and vibrant readings, talks, and/or participatory workshops for children aged between 3 – 11 and their families.

A key creative driver is to help children gain a better understanding of different cultures and life experiences by involving and highlighting artists from diverse backgrounds whose work features minority characters.

As a guide, we estimate fees of between £250 - £350 per artist.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please email hello@brokenlightbulb.org to express your interest and request a full brief including details of how to apply.

Deadline: 18th January 2019
