Writing Commission, Goonhilly Village Green

Goonhilly Village Green 2 is an artist-led investigation of a unique landscape, Goonhilly Downs on Cornwall’s Lizard peninsular. We want to work with a writer with interests in land management/ownership/use who can contextualise our approach as artists to engaging wider publics in understanding the complex histories connected to this unique area.
During 2018-19 we will be running a programme of free public events, culminating in a major one day celebration of all things Goonhilly, followed by a period of evaluation and wider dissemination.
We are keen to engage readers in academia, the contemporary arts and national bodies such as Natural England through an in-depth piece for specialist publication, supplemented by a short article for a more generalist readership with interests in Cornwall, land use, history, creative actions.
