The above have been created in response to a number of commissions and projects with groups. Each, in its way, is a bespoke piece to fit a particular set of circumstances. All have
been created through my work with New Perspectives Theatre Company.
I have worked with Richard Conlon in a number of settings; as a workshop facilitator, as a fellow MA student, as a teacher of his texts, and as a educational specialist on his TiE work. He has a broad base of knowledge and wide experiences to bring to engaging with the arts and young people, has worked both in and outside of the curriculum, developed new work alongside Creative Partnerships and developed projects in a range of other youth & community settings.
He has a relaxed approach and a natural rapport with young people - his background in community arts makes him approachable and helps participants realise that they have something to bring to the table too.
I have no hesitation in recommending Richard and his work to anyone.
Talc Ltd
I have worked with and contracted Richard for a number of community theatre projects, large and small, over the past 20 years. This has included youth work drama projects, community development activities using drama as the impetus, developing local amateur theatre activity - including devising, writing, performance and direction, and longer-term major programmes of work such as the Northamptonshire 'Spirit of the Valley' Millennium Programme.
Richard has great integrity and a genuine sense of collaboration and inclusivity of approach, and this enables groups and individuals to trust him and achieve high levels of confidence and self-esteem.
He is dedicated and professional - has always delivered on time, and to a high standard.
He is able to work with a wide range of people, and excels in a multi-disciplinary environment. He has high energy levels and is able to successfully engage others. He works well with all age groups and is able to consistently enable all ages to contribute to and benefit from the dramatic process.
