The course is for beginners as well as people with some experience of writing for the stage but who might not have written a One Act Play
We’ll start by exploring what a One Act Play is and what would make a good One Act play, what it would look like. We’ll cover all the basics of creating characters, writing dialogue and how to structure and plan a One Act Play. There will be writing exercises and some homework in between sessions and work will be shared in the group so that you get feedback from each other as well as from me. Participants will aim to write a first draft by the end of the course. We use a meeting room upstairs where it’s warm, light, clean and they bring us coffee and tea. Parking is free - a bonus for car drivers.
Time: 10:00 – 12:00
Mondays: 28 Sept, 12, 26 Oct, 9, 23 Nov, 7 Dec
