Born 1964. Have worked in publishing, Community Arts and teaching. English degree, London University 1985. 1987-8 writer in residence for Euston Community Arts project, including x3 weekly workshops with ex-psychiatric patients.
Also writing work and performances in galleries, prisons, festivals since 1991 including ICA, Poetry Place, Tate Gallery, Tea Rooms des Artistes, Ambit/St George's, Terrible beauty.
First published poem - New Statesman 1986. Since then widely published in magazines including Encounter, Literary Review, The North, Smiths Knoll, The Rialto, Poetry Durham, Hard Lines 3 (Faber), Freedom is a Dangerous Word (Amnesty) and Scratch.
