Olive Broderick's first collection 'Night Divers' (Templar Poetry 2017) follows a pamphlet 'Darkhaired' by the same publisher.
Originally from Co. Cork, she is a graduate of the Queen's University Belfast Creative Writing MA (Poetry) programme and lives in Downpatrick, Co Down.
She is an experienced workshop facilitator, particularly inspiration-based workshops which aim to generate new creative writing, for all ages, stages and levels of writing engagement. She hosts a monthly creative writing group 'Words for Castle Ward' at the National Trust's Castle Ward property on the banks of Strangford Lough.
She has received a Hennessy X.O. Literary Award, Emerging Poetry category, was shortlisted for a Michael Marks Pamphlet Award for 'Darkhaired', acknowledges the support of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, including a recent (2017) ACES award for a project exploring the meeting place between poetry, dance and movement.
